UP partnered with the Vermont Council on Rural Development on every step leading up to the publishing of this report, from the data collection to the symposium. This report includes a brief description of the day overall, a participant list, and summaries of the notes from the afternoon’s breakout groups. There were five of those each brainstorming around a different possible action, and this report shares those notes as an overview of who is already working on this issue, who might be a great new partner, and what steps stand out as important for success. While some of the context may have changed in the two months since we gathered in December, many of the root causes of our challenges and the need for cross-pollination, collaboration, and connection have not changed.

There are a few ways to stay engaged in next steps: one, you could use this meeting facilitation template put together by UP for Learning to socialize the Vermont Vision for Youth Success Report and/or Symposium report at your staff or other meeting. Or two, you can read the report and share it widely with your network.
